The Department of Food and Agricultural Product Technology (TPHP), Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held its Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony for Period III of 2026 on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The occasion became a meaningful and emotional moment for graduates, families, and the academic community who had journeyed together throughout the students’ years of study.
In this graduation period, the youngest graduate was Varel Jose Andrian at the age of 20 years, 9 months, and 1 day. Meanwhile, the title of best graduate was awarded to Felica Natalia Lumenta with an outstanding Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.98.
In her speech as the representative of the graduates, Felica expressed her gratitude to her family, organizational friends, and fellow TPHP classmates who had been an important part of her academic journey. She reflected on her years in college, recalling enjoyable activities as well as assignments and challenges that helped her grow, both as a student and as an individual.
Felica also shared words of encouragement for her fellow graduates:
“Life is not a sprint against others, but a lifetime marathon against ourselves.”
According to Felica, studying at TPHP and FTP UGM had equipped the graduates with the knowledge and values needed to contribute meaningfully to society. The education they received not only developed their academic and professional abilities, but also nurtured a spirit of service and social responsibility.
The graduation ceremony marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new journey for TPHP FTP UGM graduates as they move forward to contribute and make a positive impact in various fields and within society.
