Yogyakarta – The Department of Food and Agricultural Product Technology (TPHP), Universitas Gadjah Mada, welcomed its newest cohort of students during Pionir Agrophoria UGM on Wednesday (Aug 6) at the Kamarijani–Soenjoto Auditorium, Faculty of Agricultural Technology.
The event introduced first-year students to the academic and community life within the department, including faculty members, laboratory facilities, core courses, and flagship programs such as student mobility and industry internships. Throughout the session, students showed great enthusiasm—listening attentively and engaging actively with questions.
In her remarks, Dr. Dwi, Secretary of the Department, encouraged students to embrace collaboration and communication as keys to success. “Studying at TPHP will be much easier if you are willing to communicate, even by discussing with senior students who can share valuable tips for the semesters ahead,” she noted.
The department hopes that this new generation of students will not only thrive academically but also grow into future leaders in food technology. With curiosity, collaboration, and dedication, they are expected to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of Indonesia’s food and agricultural sector.
