This Scientific Article Competition is part of AgIR – Advancing Innovations and Resilience in Agriculture Youth which is organized in collaboration with the Department of Economics of IPB and Deakin University, and supported by the Australia Indonesia Institute Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Australia. On Tuesday, November 16, 2021, the Department of Food and Agricultural Products Technology of FTP UGM held a community service activity with the topic “Provision, Calculation of Nutritional Value, and Packaging of Complementary Foods (MP-ASI)” for training activities for posyandu cadres in Candibinangun Village, Pakem District. This activity was guided by Dr. Dwi Larasatie Nur Fibri, S.T.P., M.Sc., TPHP UGM lecturer,, and assisted by 2 TPHP UGM students from 2018, namely Yuniar Wika and Rizky Alifiansyah. The UGM TPHP Department congratulates the UGM TPHP team for their achievements in the National Food Quiz Bowl Competition 2021.

Food Quiz Bowl is a fast-paced competition organized by the Indonesian Food Care Student Association (HMPPI) and the Indonesian Food Technologist Association (PATPI). The Food Quiz Bowl is participated by delegates from each HMPPI commissariat spread throughout Indonesia. The competition was organized online and gradually from the regional to national level.

The UGM student team consisting of Bernadus Jason (TPHP 2020), Finessa Meutia Kamila (TPHP 2020), and Joselind Sienydea Salim (TPHP 2020) won second place with a score of 3350. Meanwhile, the first and third places were won by representatives from Bogor Agricultural University with scores of 3400 and 3100. read more

This guest lecture was presented by Andrian Ishak, who is the founder of Namaaz Dining. The guest lecture, which took place at 07.15-08.55 WIB, was held through the Zoom platform and moderated by Andika Wicaksono Putro, S.T.P., M.Sc., TPHP UGM lecturer.

Molecular gastronomy is a term invented by Nicholas Kurti, a Hungarian nutritionist. Gastronomy focuses on culinary science, but many people do not want to apply science in the kitchen because people think it is not related to cooking. This guest lecture was presented by Wednes Aria Yuda, owner of Cokelat nDalem, and hosted by Prof. Dr. Ir. Tyas Utami, M.Sc., TPHP UGM lecturer. The guest lecture which took place at 09.00-10.40 WIB was held through the Zoom platform and was attended by 110 participants.
