Study Program Selection Provisions are as follows:
- Study Programs at UGM Undergraduate and Diploma Programs are divided into 2 groups, namely Science and Technology Group Study Programs and Social Sciences Group Study Programs.
- SNBP and SNBT applicants can choose 2 (two) study programs at the undergraduate level.
- Applicants for the Independent Examination-Computer Based Test (CBT) pathway can choose 2 (two) study programs at the Diploma IV / Applied Undergraduate and / or Undergraduate levels.
- The order in the selection of study programs expresses the priority of choice.
UKT at UGM consists of two types, namely UKT Pendidikan Unggul UGM and UKT Pendidikan Unggul Bersubsidi UGM with detailed information, as follows:
- UKT for UGM Superior Education is set in an equitable manner to create superior education that can be reached by all Indonesian people.
- UGM Subsidized Superior Education UKT is a subsidy of 100%, 75%, 50%, or 25% of the nominal amount of Superior Education UKT.
UKT groups 1 and 2 as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 25 of 2020 concerning Unit Standards for Higher Education Operational Costs at State Universities within the Ministry of Education and Culture, will be 100% subsidized (free of charge).
The determination of the UGM Superior Education UKT and UGM Subsidized Superior Education UKT is based on the economic ability of both parents or those responsible for student education costs. Economic capability is evaluated based on documents uploaded by prospective students after being declared accepted and re-registering.

New Student Admission for the Postgraduate Program consists of:
- Regular Pathway
Intended for applicants at their own expense. - Cooperation Pathway
Intended for:- applicants who have been designated as scholarship recipients by the institution/agency providing the scholarship (evidenced by a letter of determination as a scholarship recipient); or
- applicants whose education is funded by UGM cooperation partners as evidenced by the existence of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or Cooperation Agreement (PKS) in force (a list of cooperation partners can be selected when filling out online registration).
- Scholarship Applicant Pathway
Intended for applicants who are currently applying for scholarships from various institutions / agencies / scholarship providers. - International Pathway
Intended for applicants of Foreign Citizens (WNA). - Research-Based Pathway (by research)
Intended for Masters or Doctoral program applicants who have previous research and publication experience, in order to develop and increase the number and quality of research and publications.
