The National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), established in 1994, is the only accreditation body recognized by the government of the Republic of Indonesia (in this matter, by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia). BAN-PT is an institution that has the function to evaluate the quality of higher education, including State and Private Universities.
